So I spent most of the evening painting my walls, and boy was it fun. It really is great when it splatters on you(cue imaginary irritating person blurting “that’s what she said.”) But really, I can’t wait to finish the job tonight and tomorrow. And then I just have to do the floors…and I can move in. I need to figure out how to move my gihugic TV. I should probably just buy a new one, but then that seems like a waste of money. Anyhow, booooring.
After painting last night, I went to grab a burger…. which reminds me the other day I went to Delux, and I hadn’t been there in like 6 months and the girl at the counter( whom I barely sort of kind of recognized) remembered my name and knew exactly what I was going to order. Such great customer service! Or maybe I’m just one of those idiosyncratic weirdo customers that people always remember. When I used to work at Urban Outfitters back in the day there was a dude who used to come in every week and buy women’s underwear. Hopefully I’m not the turkey burger eating equivalent of that guy. When I was recovering for my surgery, I ate at Delux every day for 2 months. Anyhow, the girl that I used to have a crush on and barely flirt with every time I went in there, doesn’t seem to work there anymore, which was disappointing. Even though I didn’t have a huge crush on her, not enough to actually like her anyway…it still made going there more fun. Now it’s just strictly business, but no one has busted out with a “sir” yet.
Later on I went and hung out with Jonathan, and for some reason everyone in the world seemed to be out last night. We hung out with Brooke mostly, and some dude at our table kept talking about something called “daggering” which is some sort of dance move that is supposed to be like dry humping. I had never heard of it, but perhaps I am old fashioned. I just said that I was “more of a straight in and out kind of guy and that I don’t really go in for all that bullshit,” which was a lie. Apparently it’s a Jamaican thing, and now that I’ve looked it up on Urban Dictionary I’m pretty sure it’s something I do anytime I set foot on a dance floor. I remain ready to bust a move at all times.
